Mouriscot Lake, a protected natural area close to the Ilbarritz beach. A natural area of 110 hectares in Biarritz and Bidart. The space open to the public with its paths covers about 68 hectares, including 15 hectares of water and 10 hectares marsh. The site of Lake Mouriscot, now partially classified "Natura 2000" offers diversified landscapes: open areas, lake with green waters, dense woods and wetlands. Lake Marion is a public garden near the center of Biarritz and the ocean. Covering an area of about twenty hectares, 5 acres of lake, this exceptional garden with 2 marked paths is dedicated to all sorts of leisure: walking, jogging, cycling and a children's playground (children under 12 accompanied by an adult). Dogs are allowed if on a leash. Fishing is allowed without a permit and without fishing card. It can be practiced from the bank (no boat) and is limited to one rod per angler. Opening hours: 1 March to 14 April and 15 September to 31 October: 8am-8pm / 15 April to 14 September 7.30am-9.30pm / November 1 to February 28/29: 8am-18pm.
